For your viewing pleasure…

Look, my blog had a makeover!  Matt said, “Whoa.” which of course I have no idea if that means it looks great or if he might stop recommending it to his friends.

Remember how I just got back from Women’s Conference a few weeks ago and loved it?  Well, I want to give you a heads-up on the upcoming broadcasts of some of the talks.  I put asterisks next to two of my favorites (plus my best guess for their specific time slot).  I haven’t seen all of them yet, because I attended some different classes, but I’m sure they’re all wonderful.  If you have BYU-TV (channel 374 on DirecTV) or know someone who can record these for you, you won’t regret watching them.  Great stuff here, great stuff.  Here’s the scheduling information:

If you haven’t voted for our Diapers and Divinity Poetry Contest winner yet, get crack-a-lackin’.  I have no idea why I just used that word.  Winners announced at the end of the day Wednesday.

And just because I found this today and I’m really excited to study it, I wanted to share it.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

Happy Mother’s Day!

You think I’m a little early, but I know what I’m doing.  I’d like to share a little strategy with you.  Every year for Mother’s Day, I buy myself a plane ticket and a ticket to Women’s Conference at BYU.  It’s two days of refueling, encouragement, escape, and girl power.  I just say, “For Mother’s Day, I want to go to Women’s Conference.”  And Matt, relieved that he doesn’t have to think of or buy any gift on his own, heartily consents.  (Plus I come back a better person.)

So, this is an invitation.  Come join the fun.  Let me know if you’ll be there and maybe we can coordinate our own bloggy-friends luncheon or dinner.  Click on the banner for more information.

And Happy Mother’s Day.

Must-see TV: Set your DVR

womensconfBelow is the schedule that Women’s Conference will be rebroadcast on BYU Television (channel 374 on DirectTV for me).  They will show all of the main sessions that were taught in the Marriott Center.  It is worth recording and watching.  Especially Sister Beck’s talk.  Even if you’re not Mormon, I think you will see why this talk is go great as she discusses the importance of family.  It was awesome.

If you don’t get BYU TV, the talks will be available online later at this link.

Thursday, May 14th from 2 to 6 pm and again from 6 to 10 pm for the Thursday talks.  And the Friday Women’s Conf. that will be re-broadcast on Friday., May 15th from 2 to 7 pm and 7 pm to midnight Mountain Daylight Time.

May 14 @ 2:00 PM   Thursday Women’s Conference Talks
May 14 @ 6:00 PM   (repeated again)
May 15 @ 2:00 PM    Friday Women’s Conference Talks (w/ Sister Beck)
