About Me

I’m a mom of three, who blogs for fun, posterity, and therapy.  I seek for the divinity in motherhood; I try to share it when I find it, and I try to laugh when I don’t.  I love naps, long walks, good shoes, milk chocolate, a little sarcasm, bubble gum, a good veggie avocado sandwich, scriptures, sunshine, my patient husband, and my children (especially when they’re sleeping). If you’re curious about my faith, I’m a Mormon and I believe in Jesus Christ; I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about how I live my religion.

Best things about motherhood:
  1. “Thanks, mom.”

  2. Holding hands

  3. Watching them sleep

  4. Hearing them pray

  5. “I love you, mommy.”

Worst things about motherhood:
  1. (Crash) “Oops. Sorry mom!”

  2. Potty training (finally graduated)

  3. Sleep fantasies

  4. The daily witching hours from  4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  5. Shopping and other public appearances

The three reasons I am a mother: I realize that they are all growing up now, which might make me unqualified to still host a blog called Diapers and Divinity, but I’ve been blogging for many years (since 2008) and the blog name just stuck. I still want to point out the divine in everyday mothering.
