Blogging has introduced me to some really cool people. I think I’ve met in real life now at least a dozen ladies that I’ve met first through blogging, and it’s always been a pleasure. So that got me thinking, I bet all of you are really great women and I wish I knew you better. (And it’s obvious you’re great if you read my blog. *snort* Whatever. It at least means we have something in common.) That’s when I had one of my genius ideas*. What if I “interviewed” some of you on my blog to find out more about you? The extra bonus is that other readers with similar circumstances or interests can find you too and maybe more friendships can be formed. Strength in numbers, ladies, strength in numbers.
What do you think? Any volunteers?
*disclaimer: I have lots of genius ideas that may appear to be abandoned. (Like when I was writing this, I remembered that I never published those “fake” General Conference talks you submitted.) BUT. I will do it. And some of you may wonder whatever happened to my Protecting Innocence Project that I went on and on and on about over a year ago. I confess that it temporarily (if a year can count as temporary) fell through the cracks, but it is not forgotten. (Give me a break. We finished law school and I moved across the country.) A lot of work has been done behind the scenes, and lately I’ve had a little fire in my bones to get it up and going. And I will. I promise. Okay, disclaimer done. Feel free to let me know if any of my other genius ideas went completely forgotten.

i LOVE this idea. i’m staying home, for the first time, this semester before our baby is born and while i’m still working from home, i’m finding the transition a bit stranger than i thought. i LOVE it, but there are challenges–and there’s something about reading about other people’s experiences that make me feel like the neverending cycle of laundry and dishes are normal to hate and that there are women out there (admirable, wonderful, strong women) who do so much with the time that they have.
all that to say–i love this idea, and i’d be happy to be a part of it if you are looking for people.
Great idea! I am in the middle of writing a post about a blogging friend and I keep thinking about how I want to write more about others of you.
I also was thinking in the last few days about how lame I was to never write those articles for the PIP, but I’ll still do it. Yes, I will.
That’s ok…my General Conference was super lame anyway! I just assumed that’s why you didn’t run the series! LOL
I’m up for an “interview”. That would be fun. I don’t know that I am such an interesting subject though…but I’d be willing to participate…

I would love to read about different blogs though and “meet” new people, sometimes the best blogs are “introduced” to me through others that I love.

Great idea! and hey, I totally understand the ideas not going anywhere disease. I have that but there are less people to see my lack of motivation (that’s what it is for me ;D). I am really interested in finding a few more ladies that live in the Mesa area that want to visit the Dinosaur museum with Becky and I.

Sounds like a fabulous idea. I love finding new blogs, but hate working to do it. So, any help that leads me to other bloggers that I might enjoy sounds great. And I would totally let you interview me too, cause I’m so very generous. And so very humble too. 🙂

I love that idea. I’ve made some great friends through blogging (some of whom I still haven’t actually met!) and I would love to hear everyone’s stories.
It’s interesting, last night I went to a Stake Women’s Conferenece, and the speakers were just a selection of women from the different wards who shared their own stories and talked about ways they have found to “be still” admist the crazy lives we all have. It was a wonderful meeting, and got me thinking about how much heartache goes on that we can’t see, but moreover I thought of the kind of faith and strength that we also don’t readily see. Your idea opens up a way to learn about and see both! I’m a fan.
I think this is a great idea. I know I get so involved with my kids and life in general that I find it hard to make and develop friendships. I’d love to get to know some more people out there. I’d even like to answer the questions myself. I can’t wait to see the great people you pick!

I love this idea, and would be totally up for participating.
What I would really love is if we were all willing to go deeper- you know, beyond questions like “how many kids do you have?” and “what do you like best about blogging?” I love what a previous poster said about finding peace- I’d love to hear about peoples’ experiences with things like that.
Oh, and it would be fun to have people visit my blog too.

As women we are given a lot of wonderful ideas and drive, yet like Sister Beck says we do what needs to be done. What a fun idea to highlight other women and their marvelous ideas and works. I’ll volunteer if you’d like someone else.
